You could maybe still get in and whack Palp right away with truncheon strike, but then Kenobi or Sion taunts anyway. Jyn's immunity to stun would be nice, but Vader, at least, is immune to tmr now. Chirrut's t-up could be useful, but good luck getting in before Vader. The benefit here is Cassian's starting tenacity up, but it only applies to tanks, so unless you're running STHan lead, Baze, Old Ben, Pathfinder, Cassian, that won't help much. Likewise your Han cleanse will give them tm.
Unless you happen to not have R2's 2nd zeta, all the cleanses proc tm for the enemy. That being said, none of this is counter to the current meta. The other benefit to chaze is that the whole point of a zeta Jyn lead is to get lots of buffs to restore protection, which Chirrut passes around. Baze not hit as much, but his AoE special does bonus damage against Empire and non-buffed enemies (so twice against non-buffed Empire), and that can go along ways. Not sure you can call Chaze squishy when Baze is not only a tank, but adds 20% bonus health to both of them, taunts whenever Chirrut falls below 100% health, and gains health during each and every character's turn in addition to all the hots from the beginning of their turn.Ĭhirrut can hit pretty hard, especially with his special. speed and potency?Ĭritiques? R2's AoE burning would probably be a huge synergy with Jyn's leader expose, and his smoke screen would be a much more effective taunt than Baze, and his zeta number crunching would help the squad keep their potency vs Palp. To address this, Cpt Solo probably has a faster (tho not AoE) ally dispel and adds another revive in case Jyn goes down, and probably adds a lot more damage output than Baze.
Palp is likely one of the best counters to the typical Jyn/Cas/K2/Chaze from what i can tell, likely to have vader alongside. Not familiar at all with rogue one or Chaze really so curious if I'm missing something critical about Chaze other than their healing - seems like a diminishing return esp since Chaze are kinda squishy and low dmg output imo. Here's an idea I had, and wonder if anyone's tried it: I'm aware Jyn/Cas/K2/Chaze used to be meta a while ago but have fallen out.
